The Great 'Snape-ish' Bake Off
Children, parents and staff were invited to design and bake a biscuit based on our theme, 'Traditional Tales'. We were thrilled with the fabulous creations which were brought in. Our judges, ‘Prue’ and Paul, found it difficult to choose a winner and congratulated everyone. Star Baker was awarded to Ella for her ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’ biscuits. Well done to everyone and thank you for taking part!
Party On, Owls!
This week, we ended out history focus with a 1950's birthday party. We all had a brilliant afternoon trying spam sandwiches, eating jelly and ice cream, and playing traditional party games.
Sunflowers with Green Fingers!
Our Sunflowers Class have been busy harvesting, weeding and planting. They have worked as a team to design this garden, carefully planting daffodil, tulip and crocus bulbs. Winter bedding plants have also been added. Our little garden is looking fantastic!
Our Owls have been working very hard in the first half-term of the new academic year. Year 1 have been busy comparing numbers up to 100, using concrete resources and inequality symbols. The whole class has been looking at how our schools have changed over time, closely examining old photographs and documents to make comparisons between then and now. The children saw many photographs of their parents and grandparents.
