Mental Health Champions
What is a mental health champion?
A mental health champion is someone who wants to raise awareness of mental health and challenge stigma around it. Mental health champions are trained to offer help and support to those who need it.
We recognise the value of Inspiring young people to become mental health champions within our federation; this can help to reduce the number of children experiencing mental health issues.
Why Are They Important?
Mental health is an increasingly important issue in schools since the pandemic, we feel it is important to create environments that nurture positive mental health. We understand the role children can play in promoting positive mental health. We firmly believe that schools have become crucial spaces for nurturing positive mental health practices.
We believe that fostering a culture of mental health awareness and introducing proactive strategies can have a powerful impact on children needing help.
Application and Training
