On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to The Federation of Snape & Thornton Watlass Primary Schools.

As a Federation of small schools, we are very excited about all that we have to offer to the children and families who become part of our community. Both of our schools are popular and welcome children from Snape and Thornton Watlass villages as well as an increasing number from surrounding areas.

I am extremely proud to be Headteacher of our school family, knowing and valuing every individual child. Our team of staff and governors are friendly, caring and enthusiastic, working together to ensure that every child in our care is happy and experiences every opportunity to learn and to succeed during their time with us.

We are committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment in which children feel confident, enjoy learning, and develop positive relationships with others. Our vision is for academic excellence whilst promoting the moral, cultural, spiritual, social and physical development of our pupils. Our Christian values permeate through our day to day school life. We strive to make our schools welcoming, open and friendly with a positive ethos where the views of the children and parents are valued. We are fully inclusive and make every effort to ensure equality of opportunity for all our pupils.

Working in collaboration with Hackforth and Hornby CE Primary School, we are able to provide a broad and rich range of opportunities and experiences for our children. Staff and governors benefit from this partnership too.
