Science Week
During Science week, we had a great time exploring different aspects of Science across our Federation. We made Oobleck (which is a non-Newtonian fluid), we exploded paint rockets made from film canisters and made elephant's toothpaste which is a reaction between hydrogen peroxide, yeast and washing up liquid - great ways to learn about the power of chemistry.
Working in our house teams, we explored materials and structures as we used spaghetti and marshmallows to make a bridge for a toy car to cross.
Ella said, "It was a fantastic science afternoon!"
Luke said, "Triangles are strong, let's make our bridge with lots of triangles!"
We all really enjoyed raising the profile of STEM in our school as it is such an important and interesting career path. What a fantastic week!
