Online Safety
Online Safety at our Schools
Here at Snape and Thornton Watlass, we take children’s internet safety very seriously. We believe the internet provides us with a rich and diverse resource, but it must be treated responsibly and with great care. We support children to learn how to keep safe whilst using the internet, to understand the responsibility of becoming digitally active and how to access help should they need it.
As part of our Computing curriculum, we have dedicated Online Safety sessions at least once per half-term. We explore the dangers as well as the benefits of internet. A Ten Top Tips for Online Safety poster is clearly displayed within our classrooms (link below) and we advise these should also be followed during the children’s internet use at home. We urge you to consider your internet security settings, if you have not already done so. If you would like any support with this, please contact school.
