Welcome to our Nursery

Learning through play in a teacher-led environment

The Transition
Our learning through play curriculum in a teacher-led environment fuels a seamless transition from pre-school to Reception, so children are confident and very well-prepared for when they move on to the next stage of their learning.

The Provision
Our small, friendly nursery offers a welcoming, home-from-home environment with well-equipped facilities to encourage enjoyable experiences and challenges, both indoors and out.  With stimulating environments, lots of space for imaginative and constructive play, outdoor learning opportunities and wholesome meals, we ensure every child gets the variety of learning experiences and attention to detail they require to ensure they flourish in a safe and secure environment.

Uniform
Nursery-aged pupils can wear a school uniform or home clothes and a school sweatshirt if they choose, but this is entirely at the discretion of the parents.  Clothes worn simply need to be suitable for lots of messy activities.

Healthy Eating
Our School follows a healthy-eating policy, producing tasty, nutritious meals that are lovingly prepared by our School Cook every day from fresh, high quality produce.  With planned seasonal menus on a three week cycle, we give children the opportunity to become familiar with a variety of foods whilst teaching them about self-care, making informed choices and understanding the fundamentals of managing their own health.

Funding & Fees

The Federation is able to offer both 15 hour and 30 hour provision for eligible children.  For more details please visit:

For those entitled to 15 hour provision, additional hours may be purchased, subject to availability.

Our Ethos

Whilst the Snape site constitutes an Early Years Foundation Unit, it is very much part of the whole school community, allowing children to socialise, develop and form a family network.  We encourage all children to understand the value of respect through taking turns, sharing and caring for others, as well as for each other as well as starting to embed basic school principles and ethos.
