A Day at the Races
Catterick Races
There was plenty to learn about when we spent a day at Catterick Racecourse. With 'Racing to School', we learnt lots of things about a day racing: the weights of the jockey; where the horses are kept; how many horses can be in the parade ring. The children also got the opportunity to have a look inside one of the Race Tech outside broadcasting vans, learning how the races are filmed and beamed to televisions across the nation - a great opportunity.
We even got to run on the racecourse! Some of the children were also chosen to present the trophy to the winner of the first race.
A fantastic day and lots of fun had by all.
