Tree Planting - Goals 11 & 12
What a wonderful opportunity some of our pupils had this afternoon to go to choose Christmas trees for school. We started by clearing grass around the base of trees to help them grow, finding gaps that needed trees in, and then helping to plant new saplings. Together, we then chose a tree 🌲(democratic voting) and transported it back, ready to be the focus of our assembly hall.
Planting trees to replace those that are cut down helps links to UNSDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production, and UNSDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities.
